Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Alarm – Never Late Again! (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App. We designed the App to keep your data local whenever possible.
1. Information We Store on Your Device
The App stores the following information locally on your device:
- Alarm settings (time, repeats, sound preferences, labels)
- Anti-snooze challenge settings and unlock progress
- App preferences (language, region/country for holidays, theme)
- A random local user ID used only for on-device display / support identification
This information is not uploaded to our servers for account profiles. Uninstalling the App generally deletes local app data.
2. Permissions
Depending on your Android version and which features you use, the App may request:
- Internet — to load public holiday dates and sound catalogs when needed
- Notifications — to alert you when an alarm rings
- Exact alarms / full-screen intents / wake lock / boot completed — so alarms can ring on schedule, including after reboot
- Vibration — for alarm vibration feedback
- Foreground service (media playback) — to keep alarm sound playing reliably
- Activity recognition (optional) — only for the walk/steps challenge feature
You can revoke optional permissions in system settings; some features may then be unavailable.
3. Online Requests
When online features are used, the App may contact:
- Public holiday data (Nager.Date API) — country code and year only, to show holiday patterns
- Sound catalog — limited requests to download or refresh alarm sound content when needed
These requests typically include standard network metadata processed by the service provider (for example IP address in server logs). We do not sell personal information.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not require you to create an account
- We do not display advertising
- We do not use advertising identifiers for tracking ads
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs
- We do not sell your personal data
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is a general consumer alarm utility and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Data Security & Retention
Local data remains on your device under Android’s app sandbox. We retain no customer account database for the App. Network providers may retain routine server logs according to their own policies.
7. Your Choices
- Change language, region, and theme in Settings
- Disable or delete alarms at any time
- Deny optional permissions or clear app data in Android settings
- Uninstall the App to remove local data
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
